The 8200 far surpasses ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000 Grade 1 standards, making it the strongest and most durable mortise lock in the industry.

- Emergency release locks/unlocks trim outside - by coin, screwdriver or Emergency key (14-0057) ordered separately
- Thumbturn locks and unlocks trim outside
- Closing the door will unlock outside trim
