Drill Guide:

The HIT-60 drill guide provides an easy and accurate way to drill the wire raceway required for electrified locks. Simply drill from a hinge cut out to the desired location on the opposite side of the door. In most cases the door can remain mounted in the jamb, it just needs to be able to open about 100 degrees for clearance. The HIT-60 drill guide can be adjusted to the angle from door hinge to lock. Both drill guide and clamps are rubber lined to protect the door and provide a positive grip. Standard HIT-60 will drill a 1-3/4” door with a 3/8” diameter hole. A 48” carbide drill bit is supplied with the HIT-60.

The Major Mfg - 3/8" Carbide Tip Bit is a replacement drill bit specifically designed for use with the Drill Guide, a professional-grade drill guide system. This replacement bit is essential for creating clean, precise 3/8-inch diameter holes through doors, particularly for electrified lock installations.
